Wood burning fireplaces are generally inefficient and inconvenient. A pellet insert can give steady and automatic warmth and require only once or twice a day loading. Convenient 40lb bags of pellets and very little ash make for simple wood heating. Wood pellets, a renewable fuel that does not contribute to climate change.
